On top of the fact that my purchase arrived earlier than expected, I received a sample as well as a handwritten "Thank You" on the packaging slip. I bought this to try my hand at making homemade mincemeat. I have never used mixed spice before, but when I opened the little baggie I knew instantly that this was quality spice. I have been making everything from scratch for 20+ years, and can tell the difference between old and new spices. These had been freshly ground, and I hope that Boston Spice is proud of it's products because they should be!Once blended together, my mincemeat smelled better (and tasted better) than anything that you can buy in the jar at the store. I am looking forward to trying this in my pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving, bread pudding, and who knows I might even sprinkle some in my next apple pie.Thank you so much to Boston Spice for offering a high quality product at an affordable price, and know that when I run out I will be ordering from you again!

I was on a hunt for Mixed Spice for my holiday baking. It’s not particularly common in American markets and has a depth of flavor that you wouldn’t get by just subbing Pumpkin Pie spice. Could I have tracked down all the ingredients and mixed up my own? Sure. But a few of the elements I just don’t use throughout the year and would go to waste. Enter this fabulous concoction! The price is quite fair for what you get and while shipping essentially doubled my cost, it saved me from spending even more on individual spices that would overrun my spice drawer and eventually be thrown out after going unused. Made my first batch of cakes this weekend and the flavor was fantastic. Will certainly be coming back to Boston Spice to find additional uncommon blends!

I buy this every to make Christmas pudding. And this company always sends a free sample of some other spice. A little kindness goes a long way. I always go back to them when I need something.

I planned to make Mary Berry's English Christmas pudding but didn't have the English spices. I could have put something similar together, but wanted the real deal so that the pudding tasted like my Mum's. This company saved the day. It is exactly what I wanted to make both the pudding and the Christmas cake. So, thank you.If you are looking for authentic English spices, this is the place to go to.

I was not familiar with this company, however, when looking at the ingredients I liked that it had a generous amount of allspice. I've been looking for an alternative for Penzy's, and it looks like I might have found it. They have other baking spice blends such as Abigail Adams that also look interesting. I might try those down the road.

The service was prompt and this is the best tasting mix spice I have purchased. And I have purchased others. I love to mix it in with my oatmeal in the morning and I have recently begun a tradition of making Christmas pudding. I can’t wait to use this brand of mixed spice in my Christmas pudding this year! If you’re in doubt, don’t just buy it!

I was hoping that this would be the same as the ground mixed spice I get in the UK, sorry to report that it is not. The spice is really fresh and good, but probably best in pumpkin pie e.t.c.
