I have been using these types of probiotics since 2015 for clinical depression. They keep me functional. I know within 2 weeks of not taking them, that I am dependent on them. Sounds bad, but my gut isn't healthy, so it tracks. Anyhow, I swear by the brand I used to get, but since I can't get those anymore, I ventured out and got these to see if they'll work as a replacement. Yep. Seamlessly. I never had an issue with these not working exactly the same as my favorite brand and they're $4 less than what I'm used to paying. That's a bonus for sure. I've been using this particular brand for a year. Highly recommend.

This is a good product for people whose occasionally have mood problem, like me.

I have used other products in the past, so far this has been the best, in terms of reliable results.

So Amen is actually a Codeage brand and I was familiar with Codeage and several of their products before trying this probiotic. In the past we had used Lifted brand Mood Boosting Probiotics for one of our kids. I like that one for a couple reasons, first it has GOS as a prebiotic, and second because it has a good list of strains some that are a little more difficult to find, and it did not contain L. casei which can be a little aggressive towards other strains that you want more of and I don't know how lacking most people are in this strain unless having gone through antibiotics or something like that. So, when I ran out I saw this mood supplement by Amen (Codeage) and wanted to try it instead. First off, with all the strains they include this probiotic is not just for mood. The list of stains has most of the ones I would like to see in any probiotic and I particularly like that it has L. gasseri. This one does, however, contain L. casei, but for the other benefits I am willing to overlook that. The prebiotic used in this is acacia fiber and that is a good one as it tends to make it all the way to then of the colon and hence produces less gas from being fermented by your gut bugs which also means the prebiotic is reaching more of the good bugs you want it to. Then to top all this off this supplement adds herbs that also help with mood. I am very impressed with this and actually all of us take this not jus the one kid who has mood issues. I guess I should have expected a great product because Amen is made by Codeage. Recommend.

This is an interesting product. Wow 51 billion CFUs! Most of what I have read says 15-45 million is sufficient to take on a daily basis as the body can only absorb so much. But hey, I thought I would give this product a try anyway especially since it is supposed to help your mood. My research told me that I needed both Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium in my probiotic. These capsules have both and a prebiotic blend presumably to get the probiotics going. I especially appreciate the mood effects this product produces. I had never thought of Blueberry o rAshwagandha in my probiotic or that I needed to use them in my probiotic to help my mood. So diving in I initially noticed that I burped a bit after taking a capsule even if I drank the 8 ounces of water suggested in the directions. In order to stop the burping effect I had to take these capsules with a meal. Not after a meal but during a meal. That fixed the burping.I found these capsules helped me to think better and remember things better at work. I think this a result of the Blueberry powders in them. They also reduced my incidences of depression or depressive thoughts. I was pleased to find the Ashwagandha in this product as well. I have used it in the past to help maintain proper blood sugar, thyroid and testosterone levels so I was glad to have more in these capsules.It was nice also that there are no fillers or stuff like Magnesium Stearate or silica in the capsules.What I found as I took these capsules regularly each day I did not have much bloating or gas when I ate. After a few days I decided to take just one capsule daily because I did not need more. This would also decrease the amount of CFUs so I am not wasting what my body cannot absorb. Then I found that the Ashwagandha was really relaxing me during the day. That was good for stress but I could not feel excited about anything. So I decided that I would take my one capsule with my evening meal and that worked great for helping me sleep well.This is a good product to keep on hand. I do not think I will continue to take it every day but just every other day or every couple of days to keep the flora appropriately balance in my intestines and to get the benefits of Blueberry and Ashwagandha. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs a probiotic and wants the extra mood benefits.
