Works on model BDP2985/F7
Bought for an older Blu-ray player missing its remote. Works great. But now I realize the player itself has issues and doesn't always want to open (even using the button on the player itself). Maybe that's why my son stopped using it and it's just been sitting. Oh well. Gonna try and buy another Phillips and maybe it'll work and it, too, and be an "extra" remote. We'll see. Bit if you have model BDP2985/F7 (Blu-ray wirh streaming) this remote works... if your player does. ;-)

This is a good remote
This is a pretty good remote but it does have a flaw in that it doesn't seem to ahve a button that opens and closes the tray you put the disc in.

Worth the extra couple dollars
I purchased a replacement remote from a different seller that had a battery compartment door that would barely stay secured and the buttons also felt cheap/mushy. Not wanting to deal with that forever, I ended up returning it and buying this replacement instead. The remote I returned is pictured on the left, and this one is on the right. The differences are subtle, but I suggest paying the extra 2-3 dollars for the superior product.

Philips Bluray DVD replacement remote
Glad I bought this I was trying to use my old Samsung s5, the one that use to have IR remote capabilities. This was remote is so much better.

It doesn't work on mine, unfortunately
I have the BDP 5506 (F7) and it did not work. I returned the first delivery. I thought I was unlucky receiving a defective product so I returned it and asked for a second one. And the second one came today and still did not work. I returned it and askrd for a refund.. I give up.
