I have a sixties home with a huge picture frame window in the living room. It is single pane so it gets really cold in the winter. I tried this for the first time over the winter, and it made a huge difference in the house. It wasn’t drafty at all in the living room. It let in light and after heating it to get out all of the wrinkles, I could hardly tell it was there. I will be using this every year.

This window insulation kit feels like good quality material for the price. It seems durable enough to last the season and provides confidence in its ability to perform its job effectively, meeting expectations for a 4-star product.I purchased this to help seal up some drafty areas around my windows. I've been using it for a little while now, and I can confirm it has great insulative properties if installed correctly. It's been effective at preventing breezes from getting in and stopping cold air from leaking out in the summer (which should translate to keeping heat in during the winter). The main challenge was that it was kinda difficult to install with only one person, but it's totally doable if you're patient. Despite the minor installation hurdle, it works well once applied.

Super easy to install by myself and effective. I noticed an immediate difference and could no longer feel a cold draft. I could also still see out the window and barely tell it was there from a visual standpoint, so that was nice. I only used it on one window, so I have plenty left for next year. If you have old windows and are looking for an inexpensive way to save on energy bills, I highly recommend this product.

High quality for the cost. Perfect size and easy to cut down as needed. Perfect stickiness and thickness, they last all through the winter with no issues. These are a yearly purchase.

When it comes, to quality and thickness, I'd go with Frost King. Duck's brand of window plastic is thinner, which makes it easier for my two year old to pick their little fingers through.That being said, I have appreciate how Duck makes their plastic into rolls, which makes it easier when sizing up a window. They seem to have more and varied sizes than some other brands as well and seem better stocked overall.
