Ultimate cutting expirince!

I have been cutting metal myself since 2009 with abrasive cut off wheels. Initially the wheels worked fine but now a days quality of abrasive cut off wheels has deteriorated gradually. So i thought of buying Evolution wheel, but it is too costly! Any way I steeped forward n bought one. Now I regret why I did not buy it before. It is best cut off wheel which cuts metal like "butter".

Shakes and sparks -- doesn't feel safe

For reference, I've done thousands of cuts on a Milwaukee Endurance blade. I'm running a proper dry cut saw at 1600 rpm. This Evolution blade is garbage. Surprising since it's made in Japan. It wobbles and shakes the machine while cutting, even if going very slowly. It chatters instead of a smooth cut. It shoots out sparks -- something not normal for a dry cut saw blade. This blade does not feel safe to use. I checked that is was properly installed on the arbor multiple times, no issues there.Do not buy.

Evolution 14BLADESTsteel cutting blade

I bought the evolution saw with this blade included in spring 2016. After using an abrasive chop saw for many years this combination for cutting was astounding to me. With the original blade I built a complete 10ft trailer plus many other smaller projects before it started to dull. It still cut fairly good but the material cut was starting to get hotter so time to sharpen. I had purchased a CMT 90 tooth blade as a backup. Cutting the same type of materials as before (all mild steel) it only lasted aprox. 1/2 as long before dulling. Perhaps it is only good for thinner materials. I had the original blade sharpened and it is every bit as good as original. I have since bought a second 14BLADEST blade as a backup and will only use the cmt blade if I have a lot of thin material to cut. These are the only brands of blades that I have experience with and based on that and others reviews for the money Evolution is the way to go.

Very good for a farm/hobby blade... not sure if you have a fabrication business though.

I've cut a lot of steel with this blade, mostly 3" X 3/16 drill pipe and lately 1.25" downhole pump sucker rod (harder than mild steel). It's held up very well and I've made hundreds of cuts. I'm trying an Oshlun blade now to see if the extra cost of the evolution is worth it. This blade has some vibration issues requiring a light touch on the saw. You don't want to push these too hard anyway but I don't like the vibration. I can't say it's the blade vs the saw till I get the new blades installed for comparison. You can chip a few teeth on these and just keep cutting (just slow down). Make sure you have it up to speed BEFORE you begin a cut (learned that the hard way) or you'll be buying new blade pretty darned quick :( I got one while it was still $117, so now I'm trying a lower cost blade for comparison.

Excellent Quality - But Over Priced

The blade is excellent and we use the Evolution everyday but not happy with the inflated cost here.Take great care when using this. Clamp your work and don't let heavy items move or bind the blade or it will destroy it.
