Super little Phone - great value
What a great find. Has dual SIM capability, It makes calls, sends texts, plays music, works with bluetooth headphones, has built in FM radio even has a torch and all for less than 20 quid deliveredExpecting to struggle I got my finger nails in the joint where it was clearly labelled and hey presto , back came off with no issues what so ever. Re used Giff Gaff SIM card and SD card from old phone inserted battery and it worked perfectly first time. Pay attention to markings on SD catd holder as it pivots unilike the SIM card holders.Don't bother with printed manual just download the .pdf from the Oakcastle websiteA lot of poeple moan about key pad tones and volume setting etc etc. well..........spend an hour exploring the menus and all these can be altered, disabled or adjusted.Plugged USB cable into laptop and easily downloaded some aditional MP3s onto the SD card without hving to take the card out. Someone said this was not possible on one review. Even loaded a photo just to see and the little screen displays it as best it can.Battery lasts a genuine 7 days on standby and had 60% when first inserted. Fully chared from empty in about an hour and it can be replaced with Nokia BC5 if it ever gets tired.Phone even has a 3 year guarantee!Minor downside maybe no predictive text and no camera but it never said that it had any so was not disappointed. Not the loudest ring tone but will adopt an MP3 instead if you want it to.Slip it in any poket and you hardly know it is there. Ideal as a back up, in the car just in case, or when the smart phone in on chargeFor such a low price I am over the moon with it. Accept its limitations and you might be as well.

Get burned by this burner
I bought this phone to use for work. Only needed a small burner that could be used for phone calls and texts so for the price I couldn't really argue with what this product offered. But then, it arrived.....Firstly the plastic tray which holds the phone is so tightly packed you'll have to either play tug-of-war with the box or rip it to shreds to get the phone out.Secondly the method of removing the casing is the most finecky thing I've ever had the displeasure of figuring out. I poured over the instructions to no avail until i found that the directions to open the backing were stuck on a label an the back of the box. Finally I put my sim card in and waited with feverish anticipation only to be greated with "emergency calls only". There was no way for you to set the network so your phone has signal to make or receive calls or texts. I've tried four different sim cards from four different providers and all say the same. Emergency calls only!Whilst the device itself is easy to navigate and the battery seems like the old school last you a week kind, there's no point in having a phone that will not register on any network.Very disappointed as it's advertsed as a phone that's unlocked. Shame really but I will not be buying any of their products again.

Value for money basic dual SIM phone+purchased another one to have as a spare.
My Nokia 1600 phones purchased in 2006 finally stopped functioning so I looked for a replacement. I purchased the Oakcastle P100 phone and resigned myself to expecting a ‘cheap’ no frills phone.Cheap it is price wise but it is feature packed.Dual SIM-one full size, the other micro SIM and it even comes with SIM card adapters.Other reviewers have mentioned the difficulty about removing the back of the phone. It isn’t easy but it is ‘do-able’.A shame that Oakcastle didn’t have a back as easily removable as that on the Nokia 1600.The Oakcastle even has a facility for inserting a micro SD card up to 32 GB.It is early days yet-I only received the phone 2 days ago so cannot vouch for long term durability and performance.Set up is straight forward-the instructions are basic but understandable and I find the keyboard easy to use.A bonus for me is that the batteries out of my Nokia 1600 phones fit in the Oakcastle battery section and work perfectly. They are the Nokia 6230 or BL-5C.I have only got the one full size SIM card inserted into the phone at this time-will update this review as and when I get a second SIM.For a phone costing less than £12, it represents very good value for money-the Nokia 1600s cost £24 back in 2006 so taking into account inflation, that works out at over £36 today. For less than £12 you get far more now than you got back in 2006.I’m really happy with this phone.UPDATE.I am so pleased with this Oakcastle phone that I’ve ordered another one to have as a spare.
