This is a quality antenna. The install was straightforward. Unlike others, I'm sure due to my specific mounting, I had to trim about 2" but the result is a flat 1.1:1 tune across channels 1-40. The antenna is built well, and performs even better. I was previously using a Larsen NMO mount 27mhz antenna. This has much better performance on both transmit and receive. I have easily worked Florida, Ohio, Georgia, and Tennessee from Nevada, on SSB, mobile, without an amplifier.I used a Opek no-drill fender mount on my 2020 F-150, and have no problems with ground or tuning, other than the trimming I mentioned. Read outside reviews, as this performs better than the Wilson 5000.

They've have various designs of these antennas throughout the years (I have 2), and whether you're talking on 10 or 11 meters you'll find near flat SWR. Originally called the "Big Bubba", this antenna equaled or usually out-performed a Wilson 1000 without the needless time spent trying to saw through a Wilson whip to get to the right SWR reading (and finding out you cut too far). These all bend (fold over) at one point or the other which makes it great for quickly dashing out of the truck, then back in, to get into the garage. The "Big Bubba" disappeared for several years, so when the design popped up under the Sirio label I made sure I had a back stock. The oldest antenna is 8 years old and looks like crap. It works, but the truck is new, so I bought 2 more - one to use, and one to keep stock on. I was a Wilson 1000 man until I tried the "Big Bubba" (first thing I did was un-peel that stupid name off the antenna base) and that was 20 years ago.

Great performance, extremely long stinger whip, 71 inches to be exact. 1.2 SWR out of the package across all 40 channels and has the option of folding over for low parking clearances. Performs as good as if not better than the old fashioned 102 inch whip. Yes I would definitely buy another one. Great job Sirio!.

It was easy to install. Pretty much plug n play. I like that i can fold it down to park in my garage. Swr out of the box was usable. 1.0-1.1. Only down fall is the tip of the whip, the cover of the whip a little triangle tip flew off after a couple tree hits. I “do” recommend this antenna.
