Just what I wanted!
This is a serious little blade in a seriously pocketable package. I have one in my jeans key pocket now and I can't really feel it at all. The size, weight and blade shape of this little gem perfectly match my personal EDC recipe. I can get a decent grip on it (just about - my pinkie finger is half-on-half-off the handle) and wouldn't worry about it being unstable in my hand. Much shorter and that would start to become an issue. Much bigger and, well, it probably wouldn't spend as much time in my pocket. The blade is nicely made, well finished (although the BUCK stamp was a bit lopsided on one of the two I bought) and I find the angles on it very attractive. It definitely invited me to take the time to put a mirror edge on it to replace the basic factory grind. The thumb studs can get in the way at times when sharpening and I would like the knife just as much without them. Although it's possible to open it one-handed, it's not a dealbreaker for me and it is rather fiddly with a knife as small as this anyway. If there is a weakness in this design, it must be the handle. Not that I have had a problem with it yet, but it is several orders of magnitude less beefy than the blade, which at 2.56mm / 0.1" thick is really quite stout and suggests that prying might be a possibility. The grip, which is also the knife's frame, is very light moulded plastic, so any prying would likely result in failure around the main pivot (which is a plain rivet). I want to think that the grip is made from some kind of reinforced nylon but I'm really not sure that is the case. The locking action is positive and there is no play there. There's also a lanyard hole.Overall a great, slim, light (40g) and very useful little knife. It whittles and feathers quite well and I just discovered that it slices cheese beautifully; due to the hollow grind, the cheese doesn't stick to the blade.Footnote: As surprising as this may sound, another knife you may want to compare it with is the Opinel No 8 Gardening Knife. Close in price and size and identical in weight, this is about as different as could be while still checking most of the same boxes. The Opinel's blade is longer and a bit thinner, while its handle feels more robust, making the blade and handle more evenly matched. It locks closed as well as open and it has a really square spine ideal for making sparks (including with the knife closed) while the Buck's corners are rounded off and can't be used with a ferro rod. At the same time, the wood is the reason why I'd prefer to take the Buck camping and not worry about getting it wet. The Opinel does less well with feathering wood - what looks like a full flat grind is actually slightly convex - but it is a lovely thing to hold and to cut with. As of now, these are my two favourite small knives.EDIT: It's still in my pocket every day, and still working hard. I finally removed the thumb stud today as it's not much use and it does make sharpening awkward. For anyone interested in doing the same, the studs are simply press-fitted onto a splined shaft. No loctite. You can twist them off or pull them with some kind of puller or press, or even pry them in a pinch, but be careful not to damage the blade AND wear eye protection if you do that!

A good knife with a thick case
I bought this knife because it is a Buck knife with the right size for EDC at a price less than $20. It is fine except I don't like the thickness in my pocket. The knives I prefer for EDC are the Gerber US1 and the Ka-bar small Dozier. The blades are about the same length but both of those knives are about the same price as the Buck and have thinner cases so you don't notice them in your pocket. In addition, the Gerber US1 is made in the USA and has a smoother action. The Ka-bar is AUS-8 steel which is reported to be better than 420HC even though I haven't noticed a difference in edge retention.

Great knife for the price.
The handle is a bit cheesy. Blade is excellent. Stays sharp for a long time, unless you abuse it. And its cheap enough to abuse it if you want/need to.

Best small pocket knife I've ever had.
This little knife is fantastic. It is sharp, sturdy, easy to open and close, and meets all my needs. The whole design is very basic; not fancy and overdone like a lot of knives, but simple and effective, just like a pocket knife should be. Very convenient; I keep it in my pocket all the time. You'll be surprised just how often you'll use this thing.

Perfect little pocket knife
I was getting tired of my bigger pocket knife and wanted something without a clip that fit nicely in my pants pocket. I have my front pocket wallet paired with it and I have plenty of room left in my pocket. You'll need to give it a sharpen, but once you do, you'll have years of use from it. Love Buck knives, especially this little everyday carry.

Nice size for pocket
I've never been disappointed in Buck knives and this is no exception. Well made and mine came very sharp. For the price it is a lot better than the Chinese knockoffs.
