Helikon Men's Patriot Heavy Fleece Jacket

Looks very good,is warm,has pockets everywhere,hoodie fits my head perfect.This is where the good atributes stop.At first inspection I noticed some stiches werent good and after first wash, those stiches look even nastier.My mother noticed it as soon as I came in front of her with my new jacket,but hey you know mums,they see and know everything.For now everything is in place,but if it starts to fall apart in short time I will come to rate 1 star becouse it is far too expensive to behave like this.also notice that this material is VERY FINE:-it looks and feels good but-dust and particles just like to stick to it like glue-any flames, lit up cigaretes, or similar will leave a mark very quickly on it so you must watch it.As I sayd,I have bought and will buy again helikon stuff again,just not this jacket

Had this for 2-3 weeks now. It is superb, you can really feel the quality, it is big/thick and very warm. Main zip is great, appropriate for an outdoor garment. The hood and cuffs are adjustable as well. In short if you want a winter fleece this is it. I am 6ft2, 44ins chest, 17 stone. The XL fits me properly.

This is an excellent quality fleece jacket. It is sturdy and thick fleece while at the same time still very light (in weight) to wear. Warm as well. Spring still has low single digit temperatures in the morning and this jacket has kept me warm and toastie. The hood is comfortable as well. Proper shape and not gigantic so it does not drop down over your eyes while wearing it up. Plenty of pockets and little pocket compartments inside some of the pockets keeping your stuff nicely organised. I rarely get excited about a jacket... after all it is a jacket ... but this one is the bees knees.

The Helikon Patriot Fleece is a very capable piece of clothing. I have worn it on cold days/nights for three years now and it has never failed me. I have been kept comfortable and warm by it on walks up mountains in the Lake District in gales with snow and ice all around; whilst watching sport in freezing stadiums on winter days; on country walks in freezing fog; on the way to and from work on days when it was -20 degrees celsius and so on. It is extremely comfortable, warm, well made and with all the zips (the ones on the main body of the fleece reveal deep pockets) you can store an assortment of items about your person which will be useful for your day out hillwalking, camping etc! Simply awesome. I have been very impressed by it. The one I’ve had is now a bit big so I’m about to order another as a replacement as the Patriot is the only cold weather fleece I would think of buying. If you get one I’m sure you won’t regret it.

I bought this fleece mainly for the heavy weight - the fleece is extra thick and very warm. The hood is well sculpted, fitting snugly with adjustable cords. There are more pockets than I'll ever be able to use, located in convenient places (on the chest and several on each arm). The cuffs are also adjustable, fitting snugly to keep in all of the warmth. I have hardly taken this fleece off since receiving it and would love to buy one for my fiancée. Seems to be very well constructed, and I expect it to last for 10 years, making the price justifiable.

Purchased this fleece in medium; I have a 40 inch chest and it is sized to go over a thick mid-layer, or as a generous fit over a base layer. Length and overall fit is excellent for a warm fleece, completely unrestrictive. The hood is great; it has draw cords but no volume adjustment, but fits me just fine and turns well with my head. Fleece feels like a felt, not as light or soft as Polartec but low bulk, soft and smooth; very warm and pleasant to wear. The fleece is wind-resistant, but as with any fleece you would need a windproof outer layer in a cold wind (perhaps their Level 5 jacket?). Front zip has a draught blocker lined with fabric to stop the zip catching, and there is a nice zip garage at the top. The pit zips open outwards from the middle, allowing a very small opening in the middle to be created - very clever. Pockets are high-level so as to be above a rucksack belt, so a little awkward to use as hand-warmers, but this is a technical jacket after all. For this price I am pleasantly surprised with all the features and the obvious quality.

Now, I really like this fleece. I've been wearing around the house and garden just as an excuse to have this on.Quality seems very good and it seems as though it will keep me warm. I'm heading off to Iceland this week and I purchased this as my main cost to keep me warm on the trip.It seems very much like a workwear fleece rather than a casual piece of clothing. I quite like this. One thing I'm not too sure about are the zips under the arm??? And I keep tying to put my hands in pockets which aren't there. Rest assured, there's an abundance of pockets elsewhere.

This is a great quality fleece which despite its higher than average price, represents really good value for money.It's tough warm and has useful pockets with a phone pocket which has an earphone lead opening. It's not windproof but it's fleece so wouldn't be. It has brilliant underarm vents to get rid of excess heat and is generally warm enough for extended outdoor activities. I'm an amateur wildlife photographer and spend a lot of time motionless and this jacket has been warn enough to keep me going. It works a a layer over other clothing and can be worn effectively under waterproofs. The hood is really well shaped and designed to fit properly even in strong wind.For me the acid test is if I lost it would I buy another? Without a doubt, it's my go to jacket and I'd be lost without it.
