Midsomer Murders: Ben Jones' Casebook [DVD]

Should be good, but unopened as a Xmas present.

As has been mentioned by other reviewers, the title of this box set is a bit misleading, although it does state on the back of the box what is contained relates to the episodes solved with Tom Barnaby (John Nettles) rather than all episodes with DS Jones, so there are another two series (14 & 15) with DS Jones.Really happy with Midsomer Murders, it's good seeing well known actors and upcoming actors who have gone onto bigger things. Working my way through each series, and plenty to go. Another good thing about a series as long as this is that you can watch them again and pick up small details that may have been missed the first time.

Ah, poor Ben Jones, what did he do to deserve always, the short end of the stick? I suspect that there are hundreds of detectives out there saying "If only life was that simple for a Detective Sargent".The item itself was fine, all as advertised, delivered with due notifications which were met. Amazon does seem to have largely got supply and delivery sorted out. No wonder the High Street is now coffee shops, charity shops and a few banks.

Bought as a Christmas present was much appreciated

Brilliant series, i think ben jones and tom barnaby make a very good team, they only disappointing thing is that ben jones finishes when tom barnaby retires, so short of the episodes with john barnaby and ben jones, i felt a bit cheated

Love this series only problem no subtitles as I am partially deaf I sometimes have difficulty know what is said

I love the stories, I love the characters and I love the film locations too, and as a result of the inspiring film locations I explored quite a few of them. The Ben Jones years were the time when more and more extreme and outlandish ways of killing people were used, and they added great fun to this light hearted murder series!

Leider sind nicht alle Folgen bildtechnisch einwandfrei. Manchmal kachelt es etwas, darum einen Punkt abzug. Trotzdem sind die Folgen im Original einfach authentischer. Zu beachten ist das unser Protagonist leider etwas leise spricht und dabei noch nuschelt, beim zuhören ist also Aufmerksamkeit gefragt. Trotzdem ist es erstaunlich wie schnell die vergessenen Englischkenntnisse wieder erwachen.

Il prezzo è veramente buono se paragonato ad altre distribuzioni che contengono solo una serie. Peccato per la mancanza di sottotitoli.

This is a great series.Unfortunately quality of the DVD disks isn't as good.Some of the disks have scratches that are bad enough to freeze the playback and cause the player to skip some scenes.Also please note that there aren't any subtitles in any language.
