Another reviewer complained "not cork but foam" and "dishonest seller"...etc. The item description includes the word cork, and the word foam, and then presents the customer with 8 choices of colors. The seven colored choices are foam colors. The one that is tan and says CORK, that is the cork item. After that one can choose a single or 2 block set. Not sure why someone faults the seller when they choose the wrong product. Also, if you get something other than what you ordered Amazon lets you return it or lets you keep it and sends a correct one. Not sure how anyone can be angry here.Anyhow, I bought the 2 cork block set which comes with a yoga strap. Came well packaged and I'm really pleased with this set. There is a slight smell that the cork blocks have but.... that's what cork smells like. It is just strong at first because its been wrapped in cellophane when it was manufactured. After the first day I can't smell them at all. I really like the cork as they are solid but have just enough give or softness to them to make them feel comfortable. They are easy to grip and not heavy at all for me. Each one weighs 1 lb 12 oz and measures 8 3/4" x 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" thick. Rounded off they are 9 x 6 x 4. Not sure if that's because they are wood and wood dimensions are rounded up, example, a 2x4 is actually 1 1/2 x 3 1/2. Perhaps the foam ones are actually 9 x 6 x 4. It really doesn't matter to me as they work just fine. The blocks fit flat on the floor with no wobble as one person asked about. The strap that came with mine is 1 1/2" wide x 96" long, a nice emerald green color and seems to be 100% cotton which feels nice on the bottom of feet. I already had a strap but its good to have another just in case. I did a lot of comparison shopping on Amazon before I chose JBM and am really super pleased with this purchase. Good quality all around!!!

It's nicely wrapped and got home within 48h. The blocks are NOT heavy as someone wrote here. They are nice and firm enough to practice your Pilates / yoga. It doesn't smell anything as others said. Loved! For ideas and more yoga ideas take look on my insta mitiepoca.

I love the blocks!! I got a cork block set as wells as the foam block set. The cork blocks are great: solid, heavy and exactly what I expect from a cork yoga block. No bend or give in the blocks when squeezed. I also got two sets of black, foam blocks. They are much lighter than the cork. They had absolutely no smell coming out of the package. I did not need to air them out. No damage caused from the plastic packaging. The foam blocks are slightly squishy, perfect for students/practitioners looking for squeezable blocks with slight give when their weight is added. I am not a fan of the straps included. They do not match the quality of the blocks. They are flimsy and feel cheap to the touch. I would happily pay $1-$3 more just for a better, thicker, higher-quality strap.

Bought these months ago when I got tired of stacking my Shakespeare textbooks. I'm honestly not a big yoga person but I wanted to get into it by buying all the "necessary" props so I'm glad I splurged on the cork blocks. There was a slight corky smell but it dissipates over a few days and you don't really notice unless you're putting your head against it. Also, the blocks come wrapped in plastic so I don't think it should be surprising that they smell once you open it up. Just in case, I did air them out for a day or two before using so I would suggest doing that if you're very sensitive to smell like I am. They are a nice kind of heavy which feels very supportive. There's no give to the block when you put your entire weight on it and it doesn't chip or feel sticky. The strap is fine though I don't really know how what to do with the metal hooks because I'm a yoga noob.As for the price, $28.99 for the 2 cork blocks and 1 strap was kind of a stretch for me because I'm only a beginner. (Did I mention I'm also a college student?!) Still, I don't regret the purchase because I continue to use all three items and I know they'll last a long, long time. I'm sure there are more affordable alternatives that get the job done but the quality and durability of these blocks are certainly worth spending on.Sidenote: I'm new to yoga so I don't know the cheap-expensive price points for yoga props. I'm totally basing my claim on how much I'm personally willing to spend on any given item.Do I recommend? Heck yah.Worth the splurge? Hm...there will always be other, cheaper alternatives but for me, yah. Definitely worth it.

Purchased these for yoga class I teach. These are a good value-I purchased the set of two blocks and strap. The blocks are bigger than others I've purchased (which I prefer) and sturdier. They aren't as 'squishy' which I also like because they last longer when you have a lot of people using them in a classroom setting. Great selection of colors. I've used blocks and straps in my yoga practice/teaching for 20 years, they're wonderful! I'd order from this company again.

I had never used cork blocks so I didn't know what to expect but I was definitely glad I didn't purchase foam blocks. I like that the cork blocks are heavier, don't get nail marks in them, and are solid. Being heavier, they add a good amount of weight for combining flows with strenuous workouts. Being solid, they are especially effective when focusing on adduction and preferred when placing them under my back or neck for shavasana. Cork blocks are definitely my preference.

Good quality cork block! (If you want the cork you actually need to select that option when purchasing. This is not a fraudulent company. They give you what you order.)The cork is a bit heavier than the foam options but that is to be expected! I use these blocks regularly in my daily practice, and they are holding up great. They are even attacked often by my robot vacuum, but they still look brand new!I do not use the strap much, as I don’t have the need for one usually. :)

Very impressed with the size and weight. I was worried from other reviews that the blocks would be smaller than expected. I was originally looking for manduka blocks that were sold out everywhere so opted for off brand blocks. I don't think it will be an issue at all. Pretty good value, particularly considering it comes with a strap.

Takes a little getting use to as blokes, I mean blocks I have used in the past are a bit thinner. They are solid and sturdy, but too thick for my small hands.I am keeping them as it is a spare for occasional use, but if I were to buy again i would go with a thinner make.

I use them all the time for yoga and I find them very useful. The size is great, they are very sturdy while also being light. Highly recommend

These blocks are sturdy, and seem well constructed. Comfortable to use during yoga. The strap also seems to be of good quality and is soft/easy to use. Great value for two blocks and a strap - couldn't find all three items for any cheaper!
