Protect
This item is not going to fit either of my surge protectors so it won’t be much use for me

Not worth it.
It might be ok for some people but for me up hunting and being away from camp for a long period of time anybody could just bust it open and take my surge protector and power cord.

Good Product but Incomplete
Have not installed yet, so no use experience. I did a "dry fit" on our RV and looks like it will work. The description discloses that the padlock shown in the picture is NOT included, so no surprise. And padlocks vary in quality and price from under $10 to over $50. But it sure would be nice if, for the price charged for this plastic/vinyl part, a lock was included. If the included pad lock isn't stout enough for the neighborhoods where this is used, you could always upgrade.

A cheap deterrent to thieves.
A cheap deterrent to thieves. It locks your Surge Guard to the pole making it harder to steal. I'm sure it could be broken or cut but it will surely make a thief think twice about stealing yours. The "Keep an honest man honest" theory.

Seems pretty good.
Seems pretty strong. Not yet put to use but it appears that it should be a good deterrent for theft.

No point to this really
There is really no point to this device. I tried it out for myself and bought 2, only to return them. They are a little heavier plastic than I imagined from previous reviews, but not that heavy. The hinges on the one side looked weak and easily breakable from use, let alone someone kick it with their foot and break it. Just not worth it, going back to using a chain and padlock.

Not completely secure
Well constructed but not completely secure what you lock is the plug from the rv cord and the suppressor you need an additional cable or chain to the padlock on the cage as now they could not only steal your suppressor but also the rv cord as they are locked together I resolved it by adding an extra chain that would tightly wraparound the power pedestal
