Have used for years. Excellent cleaner. Venta items are all very high quality.
Another high quality Venta item. I have two Venta Air Purifier Humidifiers in my home that are each just under 10 years old apiece. The humidifiers are simplistic to thoroughly clean & that helps with their longevity but once every season I use a bottle of this deep cleaner as well because it helps with motor parts & areas I can't reach to thoroughly clean. It isn't needed more than once a season though unless your units are running in very dirty air conditions. I've have no problems with my motors or any other parts since I began using this deep cleaning liquid as recommended. For normal running, I also add the Venta water conditioner because it helps make the water sheet over the rotating wheel for better humidity. Other brand water treatments can also be used to prevent calcification build up but I've stayed with the Venta brand (more expensive :() only because of the sheeting action it gives. This cleanser works beautifully & is a necessary part of my clean air/humidity maintenance routine. Can't go wrong with it.

Easy to fill and track humidity level.
I bought my LW25 Comfort Plus in October of 2020 and am writing this review in July of 2025. The unit is terrific. I use it to keep a large collection of Martin Acoustic Guitars in the 45 to 55% humidity level recommended by Martin for its expensive wooden guitars. Contrary to some reviews complaining about removing the top section (with the fan blades) to fill the reservoir with water, I find it easy. I keep two plastic milk containers in my guitar room closet. Lift the top section from the reservoir base and set it on its side, take the cap off the water-filled milk jug and pour. Put the fan section back on the base and press the on button. It's couldn't be simpler. I live in SW Colorado where we're lucky to hit to 20% humidity and I need to keep the humidifier set to 50% most of the time to get to 40% in an enclosed spot in the room. Yes, the machine measures the level at the machine. I use an inexpensive electronic device a few feet away to measure the level at the guitars. Not a problem at all.

Pricy but got the weird smell out
It got cold in Texas so dusted off the old Airwasher to keep the humidity up. Filled it up, ran it, immediately noticed a weird smell. Opened it up and apparently I didn't clean it well last winter cause it had this yellow cheesy mold (?) on the fins of the big wheel of discs/fins. Not entirely sure what it was but I'm gonna go with mold of some kind (it was old/dried at the time, the unit had been sitting dry all summer).Venta's own FAQ section says you can use a 1:1 water/vinegar solution as a substitute cleaner, so I did that and according to some youtube advice also dumped a couple spoonfuls of hydrogen peroxide in. Rotated the wheel through this and took an old toothbrush to it to brush the stuff off. The resulting water was naaaasty and had little chunks of whatever this is floating in it. Also left this to soak for a period of hours, periodically turning the wheel to get it all soaked. Also spot cleaned between the fins using q tips dipped in the solution.Dumped that out, and since it was so gross did *another* vinegar was/soak with no peroxide. Let the wheel soak in this once again. When all was said and done it looked more or less clean but still smelled funky. Finally got my Venta cleaner in and did that, initially smelled weird while the cleaner was in (might've just been the cleaner at that point). But all said and done, rinsed the cleaner off and I can run my unit again. Looks clean and doesn't smell weird. To me, this is analogous to the dishwasher: you wouldn't put a plate in with caked on dry spaghetti sauce, gotta get that off and *then* run it through the dishwasher. Maybe this stuff could've done it on its own but I doubt it. Initially when I saw the thing I was googling 'venta replacement parts', I wanted to throw out the wheel and buy a replacement. But they don't sell them. Glad I was able to get it sorted out, these units are too expensive. So, if you're (apparently) a slob like me, the above definitely works. If you've got the extra $25 to spare could try buying two and seeing if just the Venta cleaner on its own does it before going through all the vinegar like I did, if you do so please leave a review for posterity.

Convenient deep clean
I’ve been running two LW25 original washers for about 10 years and have tried vinegar and other home DIY methods to clean the disc and lower housing unit. For the first time, I’ve purchased this cleaner and I regret not using it sooner. It can’t be more convenient than pouring it in, letting it run on low for 2 hours and then rinsing with a light scrub from a dish brush.I plan to use this every 3-6 months from now on and will use the additive as well.

Very effective but expensive
My house has very hard water, so if I use Venta for a couple of days, the water left inside (and the unit itself) turned yellowish. Previously, I tried vinegar but it wasn't that effective. This (one whole bottle) cleaned the unit inside very well. Given that the whole bottle is only for a single use, I find that it is quite expensive. If it were like $5 or less, I would give 5 stars without any hesitation.

Word great!
I have used the Venta Air Cleaner for years and love it. I do find it is important to use the product they advise. Keeps the filter much cleaner and makes it easier to clean when warranted.

Works fine, but very pricey
We love our Venta humidifier, finally decided to clean it. This stuff works, but it's basically citric acid in a bottle. The price (like all Venta stuff) is absurd. However, you only need this occasionally, and it's always easier to go with the mfgr's own products. Still, that price....

There’s no substitute
I don’t know what magic potion is on this, but after trying other alternatives that were significantly less effective, I am resolved to continue to buy this one, despite it is much more expensive.
