Admittedly I had my doubts if this would even work but I needn't have as this Luigi's Siphon pump exceeded any & all expectations (despite my such being minimal & doubtful at best). Fed up of the arduous & lobourios chore of emptying the fish tank for a clean & a water change, I was willing to give anything a go to see if such could aid in the task & or make the process a bit more convenient & less taxing & time consuming. Previously to this pump I was using a basic kitchen jug & a bucket to empty the water & clean out the fish tank with, yet such an ordeal (am pleased) will now be no more. This Luigi's Siphon pump is extremely effective & simple to use, it emptied the water out at fairly quick rate. My only slight criticism is with the gravel cleaning attachment & or end, as while yes it does function & filter out some of the litter bits from the water & gravel base of the tank, it doesn't however get the gravel as clean as I (& am also sure my fish; Mario, Luigi & Yoshi) would like & are use too, as plenty of debris is either too big for the gravel cleaning adaptor's holes & or plain just doesn't suck up & remains in the water & gravel base. Thus my preference is not to use the gravel cleaning adaptor & instead I find this siphon pump to be more effective when just using the siphoning tube as is to empty the dirty water & bits out, so specificly as a gravel, debris & or litter cleaning device, there's a lot still be desired. Back on a positive note the squeezey air hand pump part doesn't take much effort & maybe only #5 or #6 squeezes at most to get the water to continuously suck up & flow out. This pump comes in suitable & not over the top packaging & though it's pretty self explanatory in how to use & get going withit, it does also come with paper instructions. BTW: It should come as no surprise & go without saying that in order for this siphon pump to work effectively, the tank & or water you're siphoning out needs to be elevated & in a higher place than the bucket & or location that your empyting out into. Ultimately I am more than satisfied with this Luigi's Siphon pump & indeed I would recommend such 👍

I bought this to change the water in my turtle tank because I wasn't going to rely on the old mouth on hose method (really didn't fancy a mouthful of poopy turtle water which I'm sure is 100% understandable lol...) and for the most part, it works great but, it doesn't get out all of the water from the tank which is unfortunate, it leaves about 3 inches of water so I then have to lug the tank into another room to empty it fully. However, the suction power is fantastic, it's easy to use, as cheap as chips and does what it says on the tin! Overall, it is worth buying and if for whatever reason mine breaks, I will buy again,

Very good item. Now I don’t get a mouth full of fish tank water lmao! Very fast removal or water so it also saves me time and removes left over debris from the gravel. I used the end in the tank to agitate the gravel and it did the rest of the work for me. Would recommend this items

Decent value for money, easy to assemble and use but not very efficient. Design is basic but doesn't work particularly well, removes some dirt from fish tank but a lot gets left. Used 2 or 3 times before it became less effective, not very sturdy and not very long pipes either.

So many aquarium accessories these days are over-engineered, and made to be unnecessarily complicated to use - not to mention being rather costly. In contrast, here we have a simple, well-made, effective device that's inexpensive. I first used mine to empty a 45 litre fish tank that I was moving from one location to another. Yes, I could have used a piece of old garden hose, and used the old 'sucky on the tube' trick to syphon the water down into a bucket. But that's a crude method that can leave the user with a mouthful of dirty water containing fish poo - like yuck! So no, it's much better to do what I did, and invest in a Luigi's Fish Tank Siphon. I found it to be a doddle to use, and it emptied those 45 litres of water in just a few minutes. I've since used it to do partial water changes, and to clean out some of the gunk lying in the base and corners of my tanks. I like that this features a filter cap - so no worries about accidentally sucking up any unfortunate fish, or pieces of gravel. From my experience, this is one of those accessories that should be included in all serious fish keepers kit boxes. As a result, I have no hesitation in recommending this product.
