Don't buy one to try, go ahead and get two!! Worth it!!
I purchased one of these fans for my outdoor pavilion to see if it met my needs...It most definitely did, so I ordered a second one! We have 2 twin bed swings with them at times oscillating (I like) , and then sometimes stationary (my husband likes) 🙄 Win, win, and we've yet to get hot...It's July!! Plus, did I forgot to mention the fan blades are a pretty blue color, so when not on they look great just hanging there!!

Quiet
The media could not be loaded. "AZOUTDOOR Wall Mount Fan, 20In Oscillating Wall Fan with 7000CFM, 3-Speed, Upgrade Motor High Velocity Industrial Fan for Commercial, Garage, Residential and Patio Use, Yellow"Installed this in my basement shop to blow all the dust from 1 side, out through the double doors on the other side. Total distance is 25' from one to the other. At the door, on high speed, I get a light breeze. At the halfway point a good flow of air. I believe the air flow will suffice for what I intended it for, but I don't think it would do much at 50' away as implied in the description.Assembly of the fan was easy. Installed to a board mounted between 2 studs for solid stability. I was amazed at how quiet it was, no vibration noises or other annoying sounds, very impressed. I love the functioning of the fan. Turn the dial to the speed you want and push on the rocker switch if you want to oscillate the fan and then you can push the rocker switch again to stop the oscillating at the position it is in at that point. Longevity will be the only question, hope this works out down the road. Last point, I believe it would work great for a generous size porch.

Don’t waste your money on this fan. Was a great fan… very briefly
Update number two: after the first fan stopped working (see below), the company agreed to refund my money and I agreed to purchase a second fan. This fan is now broken too. The knob that is supposed to secure the fan at the desired tilt gave out - it will no longer hold the fan up at an angle. Because the fan was oscillating when the fan slumped, it broke the mechanism that oscillates fan. So now I can blow air straight down or along the ceiling, but not where I want it to blow, and it will not oscillate. Save your money, look somewhere else.Update: after seeing my review, the company contacted me and was willing to refund my money. I then purchased another fan, hoping the first one was just a fluke. We shall see. Assuming this fan does not fail like the first one, I’d rate the fan at least a 4. Bit noisy at first, but quiets down after some use. Moves air very well.It was a great fan for a few weeks, and then it seized up and stopped spinning. Of course the 30 day return window expired a week ago.

Moves lots of air! Cools garage!
If you own an attached garage this is a must for the summertime! Our attached garage was always very hot and stuffy in the summer. Instantly felt the air moving towards the screen door and the garage feeling cooler. My only complaint was the mounting hardware. They were more for concrete or block than drywall. One trip to the hardware store solved that.

Don't sit under fan.
The media could not be loaded. Amnended: The fan has been installed and operational for three weeks. I estanate that outcthisctime it's ran one full week. One day as I was sitting on the porch, good thing I was there, the entire back protection cage came off and the blade was was smashing into it. If I wasnt there to shut it off immediately, the blades would have completely destroyed themselves or locked up the motor possibly causing a hazardous event such as a fire. The culprit is the first retaining nut. The threads are partial on opposing sides of interior of the nut. I rethreaded the nut back on to discover that it pops the threads. Lack of full threads and the possibility of heat transferred through the motor shaft softening the plastic threads. To reassemble, I applied almost a half roll of Teflon tape to the male threaded adapter and the nut is now tight and secure. This needs to become an action item to be addressed. As I now type,The oscillating cycle has developed a noise which sounds like plastic on plastic rubbing. See video.

There are better wall fan options
The worst installation instructions I've ever read. Vague and the pictures are so small or of low quality, you'll have trouble understanding. I own gyms, and I have assembled and hung more than half a dozen wall fans, so it's not a lack of mechanical ability. For instance, there's one line for the expansion brackets. It says to refer to the pictures, but you can't see any detail in this, obviously printed on a home printer, manual. The second problem with the expansion screws, is that there's a head on one side and a nut on the other. How am I supposed to get the bolt on when it would be on the other side of the sheet rock?So the expansion bolts go in head first, but use a 7mm drill bit because I used an 8mm and it seems a bit loose.
