Yum In A Nice Size Smaller Package
This is my second order. These are yummy, especially sautéed in butter and cinnamon and served on ice cream. I’m going to try adding them to baked goods next, and maybe stuffing at Thanksgiving. They come out of the package a bit dry yet slightly oily, the same as all other shelf stable roasted chestnuts I’ve ever purchased. I like the smaller package size. I can take them on the go as a snack for 1 or 2 people, and there are no leftovers or waste (good because chestnuts go bad fairly quickly once opened). I used to get a different brand that came in a larger bag, but it was difficult for one person to eat them fast enough. The quality seems good. I haven’t had any bad nuts. Enjoy!

My premium Italien chestnuts
I was very disappointed with this product , especially for the price of $5, this little package was nothing compared to the other chestnuts that I buy from you, I've open 2 packages of the 3 packages and 90% of the chestnuts are non existence, it's just little pieces, it seems like they filled the bags with what's leftover on the bottom of the barrel , very disappointing and will never buy them again

Good taste but small
These are good chestnuts other than they were small and in some of the bags the chestnuts were in pieces. They are soft, however to enhance the flavor, I boiled some bay leaves (2 large leaves for one bag) added a bit of salt, then once the leaves were soft and the water color changed I shut it off and threw in the chestnuts and let sit for 3 minutes and immediately removed them. I let them cool and I enjoyed them. I wish they were larger and whole. They need to improve the packaging. Ok value for the money.

Good enough considering the convenience.
Almost impossible to find fresh chestnuts anymore. So now this is how they are sold. I had bought Gefen a couple of times which were barely edible. These are about the same size but not broken up in pieces and not coated as much with that oily sticky stuff which I assume is used to keep them fresh. These also had more chestnut taste. Expiration is August 2024. We'll see how well they'll keep in the fridge.

fresh and good
when I was younger, I'm now 88. I remember putting my hands in my dad's pocket I'm getting hot roaste chestnuts that he would bring home from Philadelphia when he came home from work, almost as good.Thank you

Good Chestnuts
OK, Chestnuts aren't for everyone. But, if you like them, these are good. Over the holidays I prepared in-husk Chestnuts a few different ways. Chestnuts are very perishable and seasonal. So, I wanted to try some prepared packaged ones. Yeah, some of the color has variations, but they've all warmed up nicely and tasted good (to me). No mold yet. I'm happy with this purchase.
