I had troubles getting this item to work.
I have had a lot of trouble getting this thing to power on and work as instructed in the operators manual. I discovered I was surrounded by too many metal objects as the unit needs to be pointed away from all metal objects in order to avoid cancelling out any objects and making the unit unable to power on properly. Once the unit is powered on, it actually works quite well for the stud or metal findings in the walls. Although when using the unit to directly point at an object the range to detect the target is quite small, it seems to need to be around 12 inches away and directly pointing at the target in order to detect it.

No regrets. A good tool.
Does what it’s designed to do quite well. I find myself pressing the button excessively to constantly reset / turn on and off. I don’t think it has a motion triggered auto shutoff to conserve battery life, but it could sure use it.

Excellent Pinpointer metal detector
When i purchase metal detector, i saw many reviews, there are too many customers complains that metal detector is all beeping, never stop. Finally, i decided to purchase this one, and it never makes me upset. So recommended it to you.

Compact & Practical
This device has all the power in less the size as those bulky old style ones that takes two hands and twice the batteries. Works great with all metals, including finding studs behind drywall for hanging interior decorations. Highly recommended for its compact size, durability, and overall power.
