Perfect!

I am thoroughly impressed with Wellness CORE+ Adult Dry Cat Food for Indoor Cats! My cat has been on this formula for a few months now, and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in her overall health and energy levels. The grain-free recipe is packed with high-quality protein from real chicken and turkey, which supports her lean muscle maintenance. One of the biggest perks is how well it suits indoor cats. My cat’s coat has become noticeably shinier and softer, and I’ve seen a reduction in hairballs, which used to be a frequent issue. The added fiber and probiotics promote healthy digestion, and the reduced fat content helps maintain an ideal weight, which is essential for indoor lifestyles.Another thing I really appreciate is that it’s made with natural ingredients, without any artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. My cat absolutely loves the taste—she eagerly finishes her bowl every time! Plus, the kibble size is just right, making it easy for her to chew. It’s comforting to know that I’m giving her food that’s not only nutrient-dense but also designed to meet the specific needs of indoor cats. I highly recommend Wellness CORE+ to any pet owner looking for a high-quality, health-conscious option.

Good quality food, kitten doesn't care for the taste

Wellness Core Kitten Dry: Turkey and Chicken LiverI did a lot of research when I got my new kitten. It's my second cat and the first one had care decisions made by my parents because they were footing the bill. After researching I came up with two high quality dry foods. Wellness Core Kitten Dry and Orijen. Orijen is supposed to be better and I've read all kinds of reviews and places that say it's so. However, I came across information that says cats are getting sick from eating it. Further research indicated that this is a canadian company and owners had glowing reviews of the food when it came from their canadian facility, but they opened a facility in kentucky and all american purchases come from this facility. They reported vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, dry looking hair, etc... I can't say how much of this is the Orijen food and how much is outside factors, but they coincide to closely for me to take a chance. Instead I went with my #2, which was Wellness Core Kitten dry.I don't feed this exclusively, but per directions and supplemented with the same flavor and line of kitten wet food. My kitten was abandoned at an acquaintances house at 2 weeks old. I got her at 5 weeks. She was on an adult wet food. I did my research and switched her to Wellness Complete Kitten Pate. They said that you need to give a kitten multiple meals a day or basically free feed till they're 12 months old, because they need it all to grow. I can't do multiple meals a day because I work. Instead I bought wet food with the assumption that she'd eat a little when she finished her wet food and got hungry. I considered it a supplement that she wouldn't eat too much of. Apparently, I was wrong. She started eating more of the dry food and leaving the wet food in the bowl to turn. I was throwing out a decent amount of fairly pricey wet food.Knowing that Royal Canin wasn't nearly as high quality as I wanted, I looked around and found that the best brands of dry food were this brand and Orijen.Orijen was considered the superior brand every where I looked. However, while everyone had glowing reviews of what came out of the Canadian facility, they've apparently built a facility in Kentucky and everything you buy in the USA comes from that facility. People reported vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, and lack luster coat. You could consider that these might be cause by a third factor, but there were too many similar reports for me to trust it. I didn't see any issues with the dog version. The issue I ran into, and it's not really a bad one, was that my kitten apparently prefers the taste of the Royal Canin. I took a week a transferred her over to the Wellness Core Kitten Dry, but I'd taught her to sit for food and she'd sit near a full bowl of dry and when I'd look at her, she'd sit, indicating she wanted food. Since the bowl was full I can only surmise that she didn't like it. As soon as I sprinkled a little Royal Canin over it, she dove into it and ate it all. Occasionally, I'll see here do this when she's eaten most of her food and the little left doesn't have any of her old food mixed in.The upside of this is because she had no problems with the change in flavor of the wet food, she now eats it in a timely manner and I don't have to throw any out. With her only getting (1) 3oz can per day and 1/2 cup of the dry split over two feedings, per their directions based on age, I can afford to buy her the more expensive Wellness Core Kitten Wet 'Turkey and Chicken Liver'. That's good, because I think she became fatigued of the chicken pate flavor. She didn't seem to really care for it. Once I gave her the option of the turkey and chicken liver, she dived right in. I think she just needed a change.Overall, I think this is a high quality food, though without artificial flavor enhancements, your cat may not be in love with the flavor. I'm having minor weight issues with my cat as well. She's not heavy, but is leaning in that direction. It's partially because it's winter and her activity levels have reduced because she doesn't go outside as much, partly because she's slowed down from her spastic kitten energy levels, but also because this food has an 18% fat content. There average cat food is 12% and weight maintenance is 10%, so she's getting almost a double ration of fat in this kitten food. I do limit her food to the recommended amount and she doesn't get snacks. I'm hoping that when she's switched to an adult food her weight will drop off. I also hope that with different flavors she'll eat just the food and not need the other sprinkled on top.

Amazing!!

High price but, for the quality I will pay for it. Never had an issue with different bags or anything else. My cat whose not even a year old yet loves it some much he tore thru a brand new bag so I had to put in a separate container. This 5lb bag lasts nearly a month as I feed what is recommended along with full thing of wet food. I free my cat and have no issues and only fill bowls when they are completely empty. I recommended this kitten food or even the adult to any and all cat owners.

Great quality with flavor cats love!

One of my cats has a very delicate stomach. I tried many different brands and finally found this. All three of my fur babies LOVE this food and the one with the delicate stomach no longer barfs up her meals. It has great, high-quality ingredients, and is a great price. I now have a subscription for it!!

Good quality for the price

My kittens loved this food. When I brought them home they immediately ate this food and in the morning will meow at me until we get the bag out of the cabinet. This was my boy cats favorite meal for sure (they get wet food for dinner). But this was a great choice. Both my babies have a healthy body and have grown strong. Highly recommend. We have no graduated to our adult food from wellness which I’m hoping they love just as much.

Great cat food

Wellness core is the cat food we like to buy for our cat. Sometimes the bag has arrived with 2 different kibble sizes in it (large and small pieces.). Our cat does not like the large kibble so we pick those out and throw those away. The ideal bag arrives with only the smaller kibble in it. It’s odd because it seemed like the bags that have arrived with the 2 kibble sizes in it was a mistake. But if you read the other reviews, other people have experienced this same situation and their cats don’t like the larger size kibble either.Just something we noticed recently. It doesn’t reduce how much we like the cat food. I do wish the bags would only come with the small kibble in it.
