Q: What is the shelf life of the bloks?

at least 10 years. The ingredients never expire. Just like bottled water, they have to put a date, but it doesn't mean anything. I am still working on a box of Margarita Bloks from 2012 and no issues. I only use them on marathon runs, which are pretty rare for me. As others have said, they are a little harder. IMO they still taste good and still get the job done.

There are six chews in each pack. I assume that if it says nine it means nine packs of six. In the case of this item description I would assume it includes 18 sleeves of six chews.

Q: Are these actually from 2009?

I think that's when clif started manufacturing shot bloks. The package you order will be manufactured more recently.
