Instant relief
I originally bought my first plug of this brand a few years ago. I recently moved into a new home that has a HUGE problem with little flying bugs (fruit flies I think.) I’ve seen them in the basement and in the kitchen by the back door. It’s that time of year where all of the bugs try to get inside. There are so many that I knew I needed something more than those home remedies of apple cider vinegar traps. I bought this because it comes with a plug and two sticky sheets. I’ve had them plugged in for a week and the results speak for themselves. It definitely traps any bug that lands on the sheet after getting lured in by the light. I don’t find the brightness of the light too bright which is good. I like this over homemade apple cider vinegar traps because it’s out of the way and doesn’t smell. I also like how this is pet friendly because I wouldn’t want my dog unknowingly ingesting something that could poison him. It is very effective and I’ll be buying more sticky sheets soon!! I only see the bugs now when they are flying to the trap. Here are photos of my two plugs after ONE week of use.

Great for Fruit Fly Problem Around Fruit Bowl
I honestly purchased this product with limited expectations on how well it might work, but needed to try something to cut down on the fruit flies in our kitchen. This product is basically a UV nightlight with a sticky board to catch flying insects. It won't catch everything you want it to, but absolutely obviously makes a difference. After about a week and a half, the stick board was filled with fruit flies, moths, spiders, and a couple mosquitos. Definitely noticed a decrease in the fruit fly problem. Product comes with 2 sticky boards, which depending on the number of insects you are trying to kill, will vary in longevity. Switching out sticky boards is easy. Kids love seeing what it catches.

Absolutely worth it.
Most traps like this are crap and don't (or barely) work. This works. The ones that don't work look very blue and aren't actually using UV. This looks dimmer than those but there's a reason. Half the light it's putting out is actually UV. It'll look purple rather than blue and about half as visibly dim as a blue one. In the same space I had a right blue competitor that barely attracted anything, I plugged this model in and overnight had about twenty little new occupants on it. In a week three times that number. After thst less... but because I'd killed everything inside (and I didn't get more till the next major weather change when my windows were open again and the flies smaller than the screen weave got in).Buy a few, for different rooms. It's compatible with some decent quality glue cards if you find their price on replacement cards too steep.

Traps work at night
These work - but it takes patience! Flies are attracted to the blue light at night so they work but not instantly. It also takes time to get used to the blue light in your house since anything white will glow in the dark!

It works because it kills the fleas once they get stuck
These actually work. I tried apple cider vinegar and a bowl to trap the Flies but the problem with that method is they keep breeding on the edge of the bowl and then just make more fleas and flies the same goes for even if you cover up the bowl and put holes in a plastic over the bowl they are still breathing somewhere like the edge or something. So the best method has been just kill them on contact such as with these or glue stick. Eventually when one flea goes to the sticky pad other please begin to follow suit and get stuck, yay! I also tried the other little liquid trap contractments that are like shaped like a apple and have little holes in it, will those don't work either because the same problem happens the little fleas keep breathing on the edge or somewhere around the little contrapment thing and then you end up with multiplied fleas but even you get a lot of fleas in the container but that's because they keep breathing a whole bunch. So, just go ahead and buy this it works just keep it plugged in all the time.

Really good value fly trap, and will reduce the amount you see substantially.
If you are having problems with fruit flies like I do and you’ve gotten rid of anything that might attract them, then these do great at minimizing the amount you find. Even though you may be able to find other products that may be a bit cheaper, don’t fall for the trap. You find refills for this model vastly cheaper than any of its competitor, so while you bite the small bullet (maybe like a $2-3 difference from competitors) you save a lot more in the future buying refills.

Doesn't work so great anymore!
So when I first purchased this fly trap it was five stars. If you look at the pictures I provided one looks blue the other looks more violet or purple. The original trap I bought was the blue one and it catches flies by the Dozen. The newer one is a different color and I guess the Flies are not as attracted to it and it barely catches anything. So originally I would tell everybody yes this works great buy it but now I'm not so sure. If someone from this company is reading this you should probably change it back to blue because it worked so much better. In the pictures the fly trap on the left is the blue one fly trap on the right is the newer one. I placed these traps at the same time and I have swapped them just to make sure that one spot is better than the other. It has to do with the light. If I could I would return these one purple ones but it's too late.

Great Product, but Follow Directions
These work & safe for cats! My one boy was curious one day and stuck his paw in it. lolDo want to mention my user error. Left the same pads for over 6 mths. Wasn't having a bug problem, but liked having the blue nite lights. Won't do that again, cuz the goo on the pads melted all over the plugs. So I highly recommend following the directions.
