Great Flavor, Smooth Texture
This is premium high quality dark unsweetened cocoa powder, easily mixes and dissolves, competitively priced with similar products of other brands. It's very smooth. I personally like the flavor of this one.

Best I’ve ever had
I quit coffee a year ago or so and my energy is better. I can now lift weights daily. Get through tough cardio workouts. Cacao is the best solution, as I need a morning beverage and even tea has a bit too much of a kick. I used to live in SF & loved visiting the Ghirardelli factory. This is a reminder of that home. I stir some into boiling water with a spoon of instant chicory or decaf crystals and some stevia or monk fruit or sugar free fake maple syrup and sometimes a few drops of rum flavor (not actual rum!) or pistachio or almond or orange flavored flavoring. It hits the spot. This cacao is great for digestion too. Rich flavor and color.

So tasty, but why is the price almost doubled?
Tastes amazing! Chocolate cakes have a very rich flavor. However, in 5 years, the price almost doubled! Bought it in 2020 for $20. Now, it's priced at $37!

Now this is chocolate
My husband is a diabetic and a chocoholic. That combo isn't all bad as dark, rich real chocolate actually helps to lower blood sugar. Problem is, chocolate products usually contain a ton of sugar -- and the lower grade the chocolate, the more sugar needed to round out it's lackluster flavor. This is true of baking chocolates too. I got this because we add a half scoop of chocolate to our brewing cup when brewing our pot of breakfast coffee in the morings. Lovely there. But then I discovered a great sounding Brownie recipe in the Washington Post and thought I'd try it with my new chocoloate powder. No sugar, as I substituted natural sugar alternatives such as monkfruit varients -- brown and granulated as per the recipe. Used a combo of high protein flour, available here on Amazon, and brown rice flour-- about 3:1. Voila-- a decadedent but healthy dessert-- very satisfying and very safe for both me and hubby because who needs to spike up their blood sugar and who needs to give up dessert? Nobody. The caliber of the chocolate makes chocolate the star of the dessert.

Another Ghirardelli triumph
Ghirardelli continues to provide superior products. Their Majestic Premium Cocoa Powder is a deep, dark, luscious, velvety ground chocolate unmatched in flavor. It is unsweetened, allowing for utilization in any recipe specifying Dutch-process cocoa but also in many preparations not indicating which cocoa powder to use. With a little pre-mixing in hot water or milk and using a small whisk to smooth out the cocoa, a hot or chilled beverage may be concocted but don't forget to add sugar or a no-calorie sweetener.My particular afternoon favorite is a version of cafe mocha with equal amounts of Ghirardelli Majestic Cocoa Powder, Trader Joe's instant coffee, a bit of water and sweetener heated for less than a minute in the microwave and then whisked until smooth to which I add enough creamy Lactaid 2% milk with added calcium to fill a large cup. In my warm climate, this equals a lovely cool chocolate-coffee energizer while satisfying daily milk requirements without added sugar.
