I thought this would be an easy little kit since I'm just beginning in electronics. But it's a huge pain. Comes with no instructions and I think I found some qr code but it's so non descript and I hate it. Gonna look for something else.

If you are new to soldering i would get this to practice soldering on.

Not recommended. The board supports a though hole IC however the included IC is surface mount, totally incompatible with PCB without making major PCB modifications.I suspect the manufacturer couldn't get the original through hole discreet IC anymore and only the surface mount model and just said screw it and threw it in anyway.I'm sure with much difficulty we could get it to work but the whole idea is this is for beginners. Not recommended unless you want a big project of getting the SMT IC to work on a discreet IC PCB layout.

it's not for the brand new hobbyist, like i wrongly assumed. the instructions might as well have been in an alien alphabet, as far as the light ithey shed on what/how I was supposed to step by step make the shiny thing shine.

Fun project to practice soldering. The seller (passionate queen) was great and communicated with me about a problem I had with the ic chip's voltage. Now that the issue is resolved, I would recommend highly buying this project.

Came with extra parts

Would have been nice to see this work but was missing the IC chip. Could not return it because I finished building it. The seller got in contact with me and has offered to send me a new unit. I find that very honorable. Not every seller does this.
