Nice product. Still, the recipe on the back of the package is just wrong - scientific evidence below

This yeast ferments properly at standard room temperature.You get a very decent level of alcohol out of a simple sugar wash.But certainly don't take what they write on the back of the pouch for granted.Here is the math.They write : 19 L water + 9 Kg sugar to get a whopping 21,3°, right ? (for a resulting volume of about 25 litres).Chemistry has it that 16,83 g of sugar convert to 1° of alcohol. And that 1 kg of sugar increases the volume by 0,6 l , when diluted.Check it for yourself, as I did. You have all the required elements above.My calculation : 7,5 Kg sugar + 21 L water at a conversion rate of 16,83 g to 1° alcohol yields a concentration of 21,22° and a final volume of 25,5 L. (This assuming all the sugar is converted, that is, 0% residual sugar in the mash).
