Don't believe the hype about Corelle being "unbreakable." I fell for this marketing lie hook, line, and sinker. These bowls have the audacity to look delicate and innocent while claiming to be indestructible superheroes of the dishware world.Plot twist: They ARE breakable. Very breakable. Catastrophically breakable when they decide to give up the ghost.Here's what happened: I dropped one bowl. Just one. A tiny little slip from my hands. This "unbreakable" bowl didn't just crack or chip like a normal, honest piece of dishware. Oh no. It EXPLODED into approximately 47,000 microscopic pieces that somehow defied physics by scattering into every corner of my kitchen, including places that shouldn't have been mathematically possible.I'm still finding tiny Corelle shards weeks later. My vacuum cleaner is probably part Corelle at this point.BUT (and this is a big but), when they're not having their dramatic explosive moments, these bowls are actually fantastic. Perfect size for soup, cereal, or the tears of someone who just watched their "unbreakable" bowl commit dishware suicide. Classic Corelle quality - lightweight, stackable, and they clean up beautifully.So yes, I bought more. I traded in my heavy plates for Corelle. They aren't fancy, but they're great - sturdy, lightweight, and stack well for storage.I ADORE the Versa Bowls. I use them more often than the dinner plates. The lip is great for saucy food (like butter chicken over rice) and food that flies off flat plates (like spaghetti and meatballs). They're also great for salad.

I love Corelle-- it's so lightweight. You can fit more dishes in your cupboard since they are very slim. Microwaveable, non-toxic, dishwasher safe-- what more can I say. Also break resistant, but if you drop one on a tile floor, it shatters into many tiny shards! (I've done it with others, not these.)

These are now my favorite bowls! They replaced a clear glass set. And we have a bunch of Mikasa bowls and plates, but this is easy to stack, easy to wash, and is the perfect size for every meal. We use them as serving bowls for smaller entrees and for individual eating bowls. They are light weight also. I am trying to find the right size “cereal” bowl from this brand as well.

Love these dishes. Lightweight, basically unbreakable, smooth and luminous finish that doesn't stain. I like white dishes that highlight the food being served without distracting and limiting color patterns. Formal china is lovely, but Corelle everyday can be dressed up or down.

Bought these to complete a set and they are very nice. I love how simple and thin they are. They don’t take up much space and are very sturdy. Perfect for pasta or salad. Photo taken for size and depth reference.

Good solid material with glaze finish. They are not very deep though as pictures may have shown. But they are true to size, dishwasher and microwave safe. Love how slick and stylish they look. Plan and simple

These bowls are LARGE! Great for large salads, hearty soups, and pasta meals! Cleaning is a breeze, and I appreciate that it seems like the old bowls from the 70’s. The bowls nest well in each other, so storing them is easy. I love the fact that they can hold up in the microwave, but it is hot when you remove from the microwave, so use oven mitts. I like the classic white, but none of the current designs were available in that size, so I didn’t have much of an option in appearance. My sister has my grandmother’s set from the 70’s, so I know these bowls will survive the test of time if you don’t drop them. If you’re looking for a tried and true company, & like the glossy white of the dishes (it’s a classic), & want to be able to use them in the dishwasher and microwave, and want to protect your family from microplastics, give Corelle a chance. They have other options for dinnerware then the traditional white round plates and bowls.
