The media could not be loaded. I was introduced to Kubb by a friend and loved it. I put it on my Christmas list, but who would get a yard game at Christmas? I was so glad to finally get this one.Some of the pieces seemed a little smaller than I remember compared to my friend's game, but they still stood up just fine even in our very rough yard and it probably make the whole game lighter to carry. Speaking of carrying, it comes in a nice bag. I was concerned that it would be like a game of tetris getting it back in the bag, but it fits quite easily. The bag seems to be good quality and I expect it to last well. The pieces are all nice solid wood.What sets this gave of Kubb apart from the others is the addition of a wooden die and white board intended for you to add your own variations. The instructions for how to use this seem intentionally vague. That doesn't bother us; we like creating house rules. We decided to roll the die when a block got knocked over and added some rules to help the game move along a little quicker. Like, roll a 1 and step forward for your remaining throws, roll a 2 and get two extra throws, etc. This gives you the freedom to make the game quite interesting, with a little creativity. By the time we finished, we had a lot of ideas to try next time.I also like this game in general because we can all play it together no matter how old. Our 4-year-old happened to make the most impressive shot, knocking over a block right next to the king (or whatever it's called) without knocking that one over. When we finished, someone from the winning team picked up the king and held it up in the air like a trophy. Our kids immediately started talking about who they could invite over for a Kubb tournament.

The game is simple and fun, and the parts held up well to a few uses so far. The bag is handy for keeping everything together in storage the rest of the year.

My cousin has this game and we play it every time our family gets together for a cookout or party. I liked it so much that I wanted one of my own, which my husband thought was hilarious since I am terrible at it. But I like it anyhow because the premise is simple: knock down the wooden things with the other wooden things. Easy enough.This game is good for all ages. Kids pick up the concept pretty easily and the wooden dowels (I don't know what else to call them) are light enough for anyone around 5 years old or older to easily throw. No one has gotten a splinter, yet.We plan on playing this one-on-one in our own yard, but we're also going to take it camping with us when we go. It's a great conversation starter because I don't know many people who have seen this game before, so if we're on the trail (or the beach) playing it, we can teach it to whoever is interested.

This set is definitely targeting the 20-somethings. The white board and die are testament to this. I have had this set for 5 months and used 3 times. The king has a crack in his crown, I am a little worried about that, but I have put some wood glue in the crack, it should be enough.These guys will get beat up, you should expect it. You are throwing wood sticks at wooden blocks from 10 meters away. The holding bag is fine, I would have liked it to be a bit more ridge. With that being said, if you are looking for a set ti take camping, or maybe a youth group activity; this set will be fine. If you are looking for some "tournament legal" Ropoda has a set for that, get that one.The last with on the set. I would like 2 more ground spikes, to mark the midpoint

I stumbled upon instructions for making your own set for this . . . Which I did, it was only a very quick project. . . Took about an hour to get a workable set going. Then stained and fanicified it. . . BUT lumber being nuts-o . . . It ended being more economical to just buy this one after my cousin's kids had such a great time playing my DIY version.Rules are similar to most any other lawn game. . . Ya know, "throw this at this" but there's a bit more to this one, which makes it a pretty damn enjoyable experience.2 teams of up to 6 can play at once and was a big hit at our family reunion a couple months ago. My cousins 8 year old son picked right up on it, and was surprisingly good!An absolute blast! We love it! 👍👍

This is a very simple game that we bought to have something unique for outdoor play when friends were over. Really easy to figure out the rules, pieces stood up decently even with our tall cut grass. Our kiddo wants to paint them because they are plain wood so that will probably be a fun summer project for her as well. Pieces are sturdy, plain wood and fit well into the game bag.

After reading some blogs about Kubb, I thought it would be great to add the game to our outdoor/distancing repertoire. However, most of the options I found were far too expensive for what could turn out to be a novelty. I briefly considered making my own set before finding this set.We've played it a few times now and the blocks don't show any sign of damage. That could be because all of the players so far have been responsible parents and young(ish) children, but they seem to be able to take a beating. Kubb is now one of our favorite games, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine!

This game is so much fun! Perhaps I’m extra biased because I’m Swedish haha but it’s such a fun game to play while getting together with friends. It comes in a canvas carrying case. The pieces of wood are sturdy and look really nice (the king has a nice red crown). It comes with a scoreboard and a how-to in case you don’t know how to play. So far I think the quality of the pieces are great and I would definitely recommend this! Perfect now that we are heading into summer with bbq’s and what not.
