ION Audio Tough Sounds Ear Defenders and Noise Canceling Headphones with Bluetooth, All-Weather, Battery, Hands-Free Calling and Radio

Have always bought Protear Bluetooth ear defenders in the past but they’re going up in price so thought I’d try these. So far they’ve been really good and I would say more comfortable than the Protear. Another plus is there’s no aerial getting in the way of hoods or hats. I’m an agricultural fencing contractor and these keep the noise of the 500kg hammer on my fencing machine at bay.

Some people have mentioned the battery beeping on them every 15 seconds or so. I too had this happen to me, but I called ION technical support and this is the advice I got. Let the battery run down to zero then fully charge it up. The beeping goes away. These headphones are awesome and I would recommend to anyone.

I have used this headset both indoors and outdoors in a loud noisy environment and can say that both the noise reduction and FM radio have worked well for me. I drive a noisy RHINO 4x4 vehicle and have found no interference picked up on the FM radio.Clear signals from a radio transmitter located about 15 miles away. The battery life has easily lasted 8 hours for me, my normal working day. The headband was a little too tight, but I was able to gently bend the headset strap to make a permanent looser fitting.The only thing that could be improved is the battery charger cable socket looks like a USB Micro-B and is small and D shaped. It only fits into the headphones when the right way up and pushes in at an odd angle, which sometimes makes it fiddly to fit. Will be much better if changed to the new universal standard USB-C, but apart from mthat cannot fault this headset.Would recommend and buy again.

Biggest complaint is the bluetooth ....only last 5 hrs of low volume music....I like to hear if the mower engine is strugglingThen there's all those little buttons.....no good if you're wearing vibration glovesTough sounds 1 lasted 7 years and easy to controlI'd sooner have a bendy aerial and last easily all day

Good set of headphones, can not hear much when in use. I have parts of where I work when I lose signal, that is only for a second or so but what happens is the sounds gets lower. All in all a great product and highly recommend
