Bought this to contain my puppy as she is getting housebroken. This is not a substitute for crate training.... when we are not in the house, she goes in the crate. However, while we are watching TV or making dinner, or otherwise unable to keep an eye on her every second, she goes in the pen, with a toy, and has a great time. The floor is detachable, which makes it easy to stick in the washing machine (put a little nature's miracle in the wash if you are cleaning up after an accident), and then drip dries. She can jump up on the sides, but they don't flop over. There is also a top you can zip on. I'm using it for a Norwich terrier puppy (6 lbs) and wish I had one for every room!

However, the zipper was bad in our unit and it was not particle to use without it. I called the manufacturer and was told a replacement would be sent after we submitted proof of purchase, photo, and e-mail submitted. I did all that but two weeks passed. I called again and they said they had not received my requested information. I submitted it again.About one week later, a new unit arrived. So other than the time wasted to use this unit, this is a great place for your dog to feel safe. Their own space thats protected with a top yet zippers open for a feeling of openness. I think the unit would be much better if the used metal stays in the circular tent to make it studier. Now if your puppy should stand on the sides, it falls over.Otherwise, this is a perfect solution for short times for your puppy. We plan to use it when our puppy grows up as her own space and we do not need to worry about her getting out. I would NOT recommend this unit when you are gone as they can find a way out if they truly want out.I also recommend you use very large blankets to fill in the entire area and then a blanket for them to lay on they can toss around. This way they won't try to pull up the velcro'd floor.

I Have a 10 Pound, 5 Month Old Pug And It Would Not Keep My Puppy Contained. For Me It Was a Waste Of Money.

This is a beautiful play pen, my puppy loved it, but when we confined her to it, she was able to break out in just a few seconds. The removable floor is a bad idea. The way it's attached to the pen is with short velcro strips placed about 15 inches apart or so. The space between is able to flap up and my puppy (a 4 month old Chihuahua) just scooted her way right out. I really wish they would rethink the removal bottom, there's no reason for it, honestly.

I like the easy put up and take down of the playpen, but it's velcro bottom doesn't stay in place. I wish the either did larger sections of velcro or put in a zipper bottom like the top. I used it today for the first time and one of my dogs escaped from it by pulling the bottom away and coming out from underneath. I think that in an outdoor setting is hazardous. My dogs are used to being in kennels and they did settle down and not tip it over. I think this is a great product for its easy maintenance and durablity and I would recommend it to other dog owners. Just maybe think about doing something different with the bottom piece to avoid escapes.The medium size was also big enough for me to put all my smaller dogs in comfortably and they still had room.

Just like explained .. Works great, no problems with pup getting bottom openor pulled up..Velcro works jus fine with me .. Easy to get up an wash if there are any potty problems or just when it gets dirty .. Fast delivery also!!!

I got this to use at summer agility trials because on a warm day there's lots of room to stretch out, and although my 3 year old Cardigan Corgi is used to and stays in a soft crate, he got out of this the first time I used it. However, after only the one escape, he stayed in without protest. It has plenty of room for 2 of my corgis (would be a bit of a squeeze for all 3)and it's certainly easier to set up than a soft crate, packs as small and is as light to carry. I'd have given it 5 stars except for the break out.

Works fantastic for when we go camping with our miniature Schnauzers, or when we go on overnight visits to friends or family.
