What can I say, no more drugstores, no more Woolworths, why is it so hard to find emery boards. Just note that if your nails are soft like mine buy the thinner emery boards, these are made for stronger hard nails , they are great for your toe nails .

Not much to say—they’re exactly as described. Very gritty and rough, so I only use them for filing artificial nails or removing gel/dip.

As I understand it this type of file is often used on artificial nails. It is extremely rough and will grind down a regular nail very fast, so I use it on my hands only when I need to quickly shorten nails to match broken ones. But for me they are most useful on big toenails. One of mine has a permanent fungal infection (I know, yuck) so it’s extremely thick and then flakey underneath so even with expensive clippers it’s hard to manage. Enter black file. Problem solved! The files themselves are very sturdy.

Efficiently removes rough spots, even hangnails. Much more effective than any file I've owned before.
