Very durable and reliable boots
These are easily the best all around summer/hot weather boots built. They aren't meant for running marathons on asphalt or concrete surface so the lugs on the soles will wear out quickly if you are on hard surfaces all the time. Off road or hiking is where these boots excel. I've been through 3 pairs and still have no complaints.

The BEST boot EVER !
THE best boot I’ve ever put on my feet in 50 plus years. Used it in the military and now in the EMS field. Like wearing a tennis shoe, but tougher! Breathable. Lightweight. Can’t praise this boot enough!

Best Boots I've Owned
Best boots I've owned.Breaking in is gentle. This is my 3rd pair in the last 15 years. I have a "work" pair and a "office" pair now. Every other vet at my workplace has asked for the brand to get their own. :-)As a woman, they are sized true to the normal women's to men's size translation (2 sizes smaller-- i.e. women's 8 to men's 6).

My favorite boots for daily comfort, just don’t go for a swim!
I’m a land surveyor by trade. An average work week could have me from a dusty construction site, to climbing a 1500’ ridge in inclement weather (not fun). I’ve used boots and shoes from Keen, Merrel, Ariat , Muck, Danner, Salomon...you name it I’ve probably worn them out a time or two.I always come back to the S2V boots for two reasons:1. They hold up incredibly well, and they hold up consistently across different models and years purchased. If I had a nickel for every time something made nowadays has “gone down” in quality!2. The soles are pretty wide and flat, much more so than basically any other boot I’ve tried. I prefer this for a variety of reasons, but for me this makes for a much more comfortable boot to wear all day long. If you do not prefer a flat sole, these are NOT the boots for you. I’d recommend looking for sole inserts if you are set on these. My only advice to a would-be-buyer is that this particular model is a breathable, non-insulated, and non-waterproof model if you hadn’t gathered that from the product description yet. Best boots ever for hot weather. I pair these with another set of insulated goretex s2v for the cold months. if you’re looking for an all-weather, year-round boot this is absolutely not the one. These boots fit a niche for me perfectly, your mileage may very.

More Comfortable Than I Expected
I bought these for a ruck race that I’m doing in October and needed a military boot with a certain weight. I really like these! I wear a 9.5 in women’s, but these are a men’s 9.5 and are actually very comfortable so far. I’ve put about 12 miles on them so far and my toes are comfortable, heel doesn’t rub, nor does it rub anywhere on the shaft. The only thing I don’t like about them is that there is no zipper and I have to lace them up every time. I wanted space at my toes - my running shoes are a 10 men’s, so I dropped down to a 9.5 men’s for this boot. No way that I would want an 8 or 8.5… maybe a 9 would have worked, but am very pleased with my 9.5.
